This project constructed on principles and used Biophilic design theory. All materials are syntheticaly nature friendly, low maintaninence energy efficient and resycleable. Heating and lighting are the two most vital factors. Automated window blinds and shades (green gadgets) keep both cold air and the sun’s heat outside to control remotely. To save energy spent on lighting, we have picked the white with corporate green color, white reflect more light and increases the amount of light by bouncing it around, decreasing dependency on artificial lighting. For flooring we have used carpet tiles and PVC strips on the floor. Carpet is excellent thermal insulators and retains 10% of room’s heat. Carpet is 100% made from waste materials, such as fishing nets,discarded carpets and other discarded plastics. Carpets improve air quality by trapping the dust particles from the air and holding them until vacuumed. They help to reduce noise by absorbing sound vibrations. Similarly, PVC floor strip are easy to clean with wet mop. Plants act as natural air filters, we have centrally placed plants to maintain the quality of office environment. This is especially relevant for workplaces, as natural light and brightness reduces stress and increases productivity. In fact, being surrounded by elements from nature has a calming effect in general. All furniture, doors and cabinetry is fabricated in UPVC, PVC foam board, which is fire, termite, mold, moisture proof. From a sustainability perspective, it’s very important to pick materials and products with the lowest environmental impact. Organic materials (e.g., PVC foam-board, wood, wool, natural stone) etc., synthetic materials such materials made from recycled waste or can be renewed, recycled at the end of their life cycle. Energy consumption is one of the major contributors to climate change.
